Police are searching for a woman who robbed the Capital One Bank branch in Sunnyside today.
The suspect allegedly entered the 40-02 Queens Blvd. bank at around 4:30 p.m. and started yelling, according to police. She then handed over a note to a teller, although police did not know at this time what was written on it.
The teller complied with the woman’s demand and handed over an unknown amount of cash, police said.
The suspect then exited the bank and fled in an eastward direction on foot up Queens Boulevard.
Police said the woman was unarmed.
She is described as being of Hispanic descent, with a light complexion and being about 5 feet and 3 inches tall.
The woman has brown curly hair and was wearing a gray sweater or a gray jacket. She used a red bandanna to cover her face, police said.

We need to start testing more people for coronavirus. Cuomo’s own brother who tested positive said that he began hallucinating seeing his dead father sitting in a chair while he was home with fever. In addition, many people are developing mental illness and strange behavior with all this uncertainty, fear and shelter in place. Its real folks! You can joke all you want about this woman’s appearance while people like her may be struggling and battling this disease which is affecting brain function and mental capacities.
Crime is low. Many of the typical criminal demographic is home sick or at hospitals and many of those that walk around with their guards down flew back home.
She should get an Old Navy gift card from the city to buy a pair of proper fitting jeans. Crime pays both ways unfortunately…
Why don’t banks have bags of money where after a few minutes the bag explodes and ink gets all over the robber and the money? Also shouldn’t there be alarms under each tellers window to alert the cops? She’s not just robbing a bank, but the people who have their money there.
The banks paid back all money borrowed under TARP with interest. Somehow I doubt this woman will.
Don’t count on it when 20% of the NYPD are put sick. MTA, USPS, NYFD, etc. show up for work. What’s up with the NYPD? How come journalists aren’t investigating this? I’m not anti-police as I have friends who are NYPD. But annoyed when MTA workers and FDNY get the virus and die.

Convicted of stock fraud, illegal demolition, housing discrimination, fraud involving his fraudulent foundation where he defrauded veterans and was forced by a judge to pay restitution of $2 Million and a fraud conviction involving Trump University where he again was forced by a judge to pay $28 million in restitution to his victims.
