Santathon, the annual neighborhood pub crawl for charity, will be kicking off its seventh year this weekend.

The event, organized by the “Boulevard Bars” along Queens Boulevard and side streets, will take place on Dec. 8 from 3 p.m. “’til late.”

The pub crawl features $5 drink specials all through the night at nine bars between 40th and 46th Streets with the purchase of a $10 wristband.

The bars will also offer special holiday drinks, with some featuring live music, karaoke and more.

Attendees, who are encouraged to wear their best Santa attire, can also enter for a chance to win a $500 bar tab after visiting every bar in the event and getting their raffle cards stamped.

All event proceeds will go toward buying toys and warm clothing for kids most in need.

Sunnyside’s Boulevard Bars raised more than $4,000 last year, and contributes to local organizations like The Floating Hospital, Hour Children and Queen of Angels.

Wristbands and rage cards for the $500 bar tab can be picked up at any of the participating bars, listed below. Organizers encourage interested attendees to pick up their wristbands before Saturday.

The Boulevard Bars are also collecting new, unwrapped toys and warm clothing this season, especially gloves, socks and mittens for children. Monetary donations can also be given.

I will never know why, but something about Santacon always brings a smile to my face. It really is about the last gasp of childhood when those young men and women dress up like big Santas and hit the town.

I think the bike lanes should be closed on 43 Avenue and Skillman Avenue, so that, the Santas can move from bar to bar on a sleigh on Santathon.

Hey Ding Dong! Sad to hear you feel that way. Every year Santathon raises money for local organizations helping kids & families who need it most during the holidays. We don’t think that’s a waste of time. And for anyone who can’t make it out this Saturday, all the bars are accepting new toy & warm clothing donations thru Christmas.
