Man Robs Woodside Bodega at Gunpoint

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Woodside convenience store at gunpoint Monday night.

The suspect walked into a bodega located at 54-03 Northern Blvd at around 8:40 pm, before jumping over the counter and demanding money from a store employee, according to the NYPD.

The suspect appeared to have a firearm with a bag wrapped around it.

The employee handed the suspect cash. The suspect then ran out of the store and fled westbound on 54th Street, police say.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a light skin completion, approximately 25-years-old and 5’8” tall. He was last seen wearing a black face mask, a gray shirt wrapped around his neck, a black jacket with a hood, gray sweatpants and brown boots.

Police have released a video of the suspect and are asking anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.

Woodside and Sunnyside are dangerous areas with high rents due to discrimination. Yet, the crimes are swept under the rug. Thank Councilman . He only looks to serve one group of people.
I told him years ago how bad things became.
