Not surprised this happened. The bars on Queens Blvd, esp that block (Ida’s, Gas Light) are out of control. I walk past them almost every night on my way home and the crowds of people outside yelling, and sometimes fighting not to mention harassing passersby is ridiculous and unnecessary. It’s clear these “patrons” are being over-served by bartenders and owners who have no business in this sort of business. Such a shame two young lives have been ruined by what is no doubt an abuse of alcohol and the facilitation of these bars. I never see this kind of stuff happening outside of Maggie Mae’s or Lowery. Makes ya think.

It’s the culture. This is not the first time, we all know. Somehow more and more bars are being promoted. City doesn’t care as long tax dollars come in.

Elmhurst hospital. that’s why he died. worst hospital in the city. when i went to it’s ER, it took 5 hours to even be admitted because the cops were bringing in the drunk illegals and cuffed convicts that filled up all the ER beds. it took another 10 hours to be given a $800 generic aspirin and be released. I ended up going to a private doctor for treatment the same day since the hospital refused to lift a finger until i would have flatlined.

a while back i had two doctors in Elmhurst, both a few blocks from the hospital. Both of them told me if I had an emergency I should go into Manhattan.

What the

When someone assaults and kills another person drunk or not it’s a crime. It’s also tragic for the victim’s family.

Hmm…nowhere in the article did it say they were drunk or evening customers of the bar that the incident happened outside of. But lets make up a story anyhow as it will make us feel better, gloating on someones elses misery

Gee, I bet they were drinking in the bar, had an altercation in the bar and it continued outside. How much do you want to bet?

Do you know how inference works? It’s a tool we all use. You will learn more as you grow up, I hope.
