Local Firehouses Open to the Public Saturday

The FDNY will be opening their fire houses to the public tomorrow—Saturday—in celebration of their 150th anniversary.

There are several firehouses throughout Sunnyside, Woodside and Long Island City district that will be open between the hours of 1-3 pm.

These firehouses are:

Battalion 45: 10-40 47th Avenue

Battalion: 46: 64-18 Queens Blvd

Battalion 49: 41-21 51st Street

Battalion 45: 33-51 Greenpoint Avenue.

The curious types without kids are not allowed, please don’t waste anyone’s time, and don’t crowd the firehouses with your fancy cameras.
