Assemblywoman Nolan Closes Sunnyside and Ridgewood Offices, Opens LIC Office

Feb. 29, 2016 By Jackie Strawbridge

Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan has closed two of her district offices and opened a new one in Long Island City.

Her former Sunnyside office, at 41-02 Queens Blvd., and Ridgewood office, at 61-08 Linden St., closed last week, staffer Ira Greenberg said Friday.

The new Long Island City office is located at 47-40 21 St., and is up and running as of this week.

“As always, we look forward to hearing from you,” Nolan said in a release sent out Friday afternoon. “Consolidating into one office allows us to be more efficient and secure.”

The space is near the 21st Street G train stop and Hunters Point Ave. 7 train stop, not far from MoMA PS1.

Nolan has reduced the size and hours of her staff, according to former employee Sam Vargas and several other sources who did not wish to be identified. These cut backs have taken place over the past few months.

Greenberg referred the Sunnyside Post to communications director David Aglialoro for further questions. When reached by phone Monday afternoon, Aglialoro said he was unable to immediately answer questions about staffing at the office.

She is like self-centered and arrogant like us in Sunnyside Gardens that’s why we love her.

Speak for yourself Sir. You don’t represent the Gardens people that I have known for many years. Nolan’s decision to consolidate her offices makes sense and is a more efficient use of our money. Her seniority is a plus and her memberships on many important committees, especially Education, Rules, and Ways and Means, gives us more clout in Albany. And no, I don’t work for her.

Nolan has been in her position WAY TOO LONG!
Over the years, she has become arrogant and self-centered, as well as, less and less in touch with the neighborhood items instead of the State and City Stage.
It is definitely time for anyone else to win the next election.

Follow the money! Why should Nolan care about Sunnyside or Ridgewood when she can pick the pockets of the wealthier people in LIC? As for the folks in Sunnyside Gardens, do you still worship her?
