Need more parking structures

Yes they need to Stop building high rises and build a highrise garage. With AFFORDABLE parking. but that’s not realistic, just like affordable rents it’s a Dream or should I say nightmare in LIC.

Two weeks ago a person got into a fist fight with an traffic officer because he got a ticket. There is additional frustration over parking spaces due to outside dining and bike stations. The city needs to built more garage spaces and parking lots. I got into a fight with a neighbor who put a garbage can on a parking space because her husband went to Costco. I wouldn’t of cared but she used my garbage can with my address on it. People feel like they can do whatever they want. She was more angry about me trying to record our interaction. I wanted proof incase it escalated.

Where is the private security? Clean up the streets. If they’d rode a bike, they would not have been looking for parking.

What kind of weapon was used? How many shots fired? Black or white? Will the person responsible for murder over a parking spot be taken off the street?

Meg- Instead of wasting time posting to a local blog, why don’t you notify police of what you witnessed. You’re probably the first to say “nothing ever gets done” , well it’s because of behavior like this.

Hey Meg, why don’t you inform the police, also police says “suspect known to them” if known why don’t they go grab him?
NY needs to allow concealed carry license already, criminals get their guns anyway, law abiding citizens need to get their guns too, criminal lowlife thugs like this one will think twice before trying to shoot someone.
When you have parking dispute, you can always yield, and then go back to say hello to their car. How do we know this guy didn’t bully the other one out of his parking space with a gun?
