The NYPD is looking for a woman who allegedly whacked an on-duty police officer in the head with a shoe inside a fast-food restaurant in Astoria early Sunday.

The suspect allegedly struck the cop while a number of police officers were responding to a disorderly group inside Chubby Burgers & Chicken, located at 25-97 Steinway St., at around 3 a.m., police said.

The woman fled the scene on foot following the attack, police said.

The victim, a male officer, was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Elmhurst in stable condition with pain and bruising to his forehead, according to police.

Police released video footage of the woman wearing a red-colored wig and black-colored jacket.

In another video clip, taken during the alleged incident, the perpetrator can be seen without her wig and jacket hurling the shoe at the police officer.

It isn’t clear what sparked the initial disturbance at the eatery.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

All calls are strictly confidential.

The cop couldnt call for back up? I mean the suspect assaulted one of the on video and they had the right to detain and arrest her but she got away. Police are not doing anything. We all have been saying that they are turning a blind eye to crime in progress and just filing incident reports and depending on the public to identify and find suspects so they can make an arrest days weeks or months later with a warrant. Imagine being a victim and a cop shows up only to let the suspect walk away because they do not want to risk getting fired or simply do not care. The only people they are protecting on the spot are politicians who want to defund them.

Just wait for her to return to the scene of the crime. Something tells me she is a frequent Chubby Burger customer.

The New York City Council passed a landmark bill on Wednesday, aiming to relieve renters of paying hefty broker fees — a cost that will now fall on the party who hires the listing agent. Known as the FARE Act (Fairness in Apartment Rentals), the legislation passed with a veto-proof majority of 42-8, despite opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats.
