Police have released a shocking video of two suspects violently beating an 81-year-old man in Jackson Heights last week – before making off with the victim’s cell phone and $15 cash.

The unsettling footage shows the two hooded muggers shoving the senior to the sidewalk outside BQE Billiards & Bar, located at 70-02 34 Ave., at around 5:55 a.m. Friday.

As the octogenarian lays on the sidewalk, one of the suspects appears to frisk his body while the other assailant – who is now standing between two parked cars – pulls on the strap of the man’s messenger bag, dragging the victim forward.

However, the 81-year-old keeps clutching onto the bag in what essentially becomes a tug-of-war between him and the suspect on the roadway, the grainy footage shows.

The other assailant then punches the senior twice in the torso and viciously knees him three times in the back — but the 81-year-old refuses to let go of the bag. The suspect on the sidewalk then unloads at least five more punches before the senior finally relinquishes his grip.

The two suspects then take off with the man’s bag and flee the scene in a red-colored SUV, according to police. The NYPD said the victim’s bag contained a cellphone and $15 cash.

The senior was transported to Elmhurst Hospital with broken ribs, lacerations and bruising, police said.

The 81-year-old had been on an early morning walk when the two assailants allegedly attacked him, a relative of the victim told the New York Daily News.

“It was just physical, they didn’t say anything to him,” the relative told the publication. “There’s so many robbers, homeless, crazy people (out there).”

The senior had moved to the U.S. from India around six years ago to be with his loved ones and was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He takes morning walks to stay healthy, the relative told the publication.

“When he takes walks, it helps his blood sugar go down,” the relative said.

“I cannot digest this because he is more than 80 years old. The whole day and night he was shivering.”

There have been no arrests and police were unable to provide a description of the suspects.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/

Shootings and murders are down folks. Everyone needs to relax. Things like this happen all the time. Some victims are from the era where people fought back. The younger generation is more about giving it up or away through the government for free. Just hand it over, take a pic if you can and walk away safely. No one cares anymore unless you are robbed, shot at, harassed or murdered by a white supremacists. Lots of folks also coming back to NYC. FL has to many hurricanes and Texas sent us a bunch of good folks.

Did Won even comment on what is happening in Iran? Most of them (Julie, Zohran, Caban, AOC, Giannaris and company) are quick to jump on Israel and shout to free Palestine and call for marches. But what it comes to the Muslim religious police picking up woman for not wearing a Hijab properly in Iran which lead to her death and started massive marches/protests in Iran and this city there is not a peep.

Bring back Giuliani

Democrats sure do love criminals. If Bernie Sanders got his way, convicted felons still in prison would be able to vote.

This is result of the Progressive Legislators! Thank you Van Bramer, DeBlasio, etc. Honest law abiding residents and voters continue to live with the negative impact of your way too many years in office for many years to come.

Republican bullies believe in myths, fairytales, invisible gods and conspiracy theories.

Yes, think about the personal safety of you and your family when you vote. This man survived this terrible incident. Had this been another Republican sponsored gun massacre we would be seeing carnage and body counts. Do you really want guns for all and forced breeding? Then bite Republican. Remember the highest crime rates according to FBI stats are all Republican strongholds like Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma and so on. Their rural counties have crime rates as high as their cities because of meth violence. Just research it.

Gullible Democrats think men can get pregnant.

Democrats are fanatics these days. They would vote for Jack the Ripper if he had a D after his name on the ballot.

Now are you going to provide your sources to show that crime IS out of control? And please…no partisan hack articles like the NY Post. Media manipulation is completely out of control. And for context, NYC is not even in the top 20 of most dangerous cities when compared to New Orleans, DC, Baltimore, etc.

Let's take this back and make it better on our watch

wow! thats a nice getta way car these poor criminals have that are just trying to feed their families. I wish I had a car like that. The difference is I would work lyft and uber and make an honest living instead of robbing poor defenseless old men for $15 bucks and a cell.
Liberals stop defending criminals by lying and saying they are poor and stop electing politicians that enable them. Vote the Democrats out! or next time it will be your granddad. wishing a speedy recovery for the victim.

Waiting for DSA City Council Caucus to comment

I predict the DSA City council caucus will explain that this was all a misunderstanding and will call on the victims and the criminals to enter a series of conflict resolution measures to help hash out their disagreements. They will then explain that jail time should not be considered.
