Tough Night for Marc Leavitt

Marc Crawford Leavitt’s bid to win the Queens Borough presidency was thwarted on Tuesday when incumbent Helen Marshall trounced her rivals in the Democratic primary.

Marshall, who is seeking re-election for a third term, generated 72% of the vote. Leavitt, a popular Sunnyside figure, produced a respectable total of 17%. Robert Schwartz garned 12% of the vote.
