March 11, 2022 By Christian Murray

The two individuals wanted for a robbery and slashing that took place inside a Long Island City subway station on March 3 are also suspects in an armed robbery of a 13-year-old girl at a Corona playground that took place that same day.

The suspects, a male and a female, allegedly targeted the girl at around 6:45 a.m. inside Park of Americas playground, which is a block away from the 103rd Street Corona Plaza 7-train station.

The pair approached the girl, with the female suspect threatening to stab the child while demanding money. The teen gave the suspects her cell phone and ear pods. The duo then left the scene on foot.

The suspects then took off to the Court Square station where the woman punched a female rider in the face and took her cellphone at around 7:30 a.m. A Good Samaritan came to the victim’s aid but was slashed in the wrist by the male suspect with a sharp object.

Police have released video and photos of the suspects that were taken in Court Square.

The first suspect is described as a male, with a dark complexion and in his teens. He was last seen wearing a black hooded coat, black jeans and dark-colored sneakers.

The second individual is described as a female, with a dark complexion and in her teens. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur-lined hood, black jeans and tan boots.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

crime will only decrease when people start fighting back, but i’m sure the media and their political buddies will twist it around and make it sound like we are the criminals. there is no hope for this city.

I have heard from people who have been robbed, harassed and victimized in NYC and did not report it to the police out of fear, self blaming or just being sympathetic to certain criminals. Please be careful. Hopefully crime will decrease now that the weather is getting warmer and the sun stays out longer. More people going to work and being out and about can reduce crime. Nyc police are just filing police reports and asking for public help in naming suspects on video.
