Claire, the unisex hair salon located at 43-46 44th Street, is expanding into the space next door that was previously occupied by a dentist.

Meanwhile, Bliss Drugs is about to open at 47-01 Queens Blvd, where a branch of HSBC-owned Beneficial Credit Service was based. HSBC closed down Beneficial throughout the US. That company was plagued by lawsuits concerning questionable lending practices.

Kiwi isn’t at Claires or Europea though, but if you want an appointment with her just call her up at 718-729-1391 or 917-698-1828

Just went to Claire’s to get my hair cut by Kiwi. She is a great hair stylist! She gave me the best cut and she really takes her time with you. I HIGHLY recommend her. If you go to Claire’s, ask for Kiwi or, or you can reach her at 718-729-1391 or 917-698-1828. You won’t be disappointed.

I do wonder if Sunnyside really needs another pharmacy!
Why to they keep opening and more impressively, how do they stay open with all the competition?

Nobody, I agree with you, How can our ltttle town keep all those drug stores in business, expecially with them being so close to each other.

Funny thing I woner if the same person owns all of them under different corporate names.

Roxy you are so right on with your comment abut drug stores. I wonder who is feeding all these drug stores. It probably is the numner 1 business in our town. I remember when vidio stores liked our streets now its nail salons and drug stores.

I can’t imagine how these independent drug stores are able to survive in Sunnyside against competition from CVS, Rite-Aid, and Duane Reade outlets.
Makes one wonder if they are “covers” for something else?

Congradulation to Serge for expanding the busines that he bought from Claire.

I hear a great many of her customers miss claire for her sweetness and caring and gentless with her customers.

Make sure that serge charges clairs old prices before you get work done. He will charge new higher price after you are finished telling you that his prices have gone up.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Monday that 74 firearms were taken off the streets at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica during a gun buyback event on Saturday, June 14. The weapons were exchanged for bank cards pre-loaded with cash, with no identification required and no questions asked.

“Gun buybacks serve as a critical tool for reducing gun violence and promoting public safety within our communities,” Katz said. “This Saturday, working with the NYPD and clergy leaders in Jamaica, we received 74 surrendered guns — including five automatic weapons. As a result, these firearms will not be used to cause heartache and tragedy.”
