Sunnyside Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A Sunnyside man died Tuesday night after losing control of his motorcycle on the Grand Central Parkway, according to the Douglaston Patch.

Nick Olivera, 41, was found to be unconscious with severe trauma to the body after police responded to a call of a vehicle accident around 11:45 p.m, the Patch reported.

Olivera had crashed his 2003 Honda motorcycle on the eastbound Grand Central Parkway at the Little Neck Parkway exit, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Yep, I lost a great friend just a year ago to a motorcycle accident. With motorcycles it’s more of a matter of when rather than if, sadly. Especially in NY

Motorcycles are glamourous and exciting but just one little mistake, (by you or someone else) and you’re a goner.
