The 3rd Annual Sunnyside Shorts Film Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. with music by Woodside’s own Kristen Cerelli. Films at 8 p.m.

Location: Sunnyside Community Center, 43-31 39th St. between Queens Blvd and 43rd Ave.

Program Will Include the Following Films:

Lords of the Playground, Director Matt Fabiano

Ticket to Bollywood, Director Zoe Sullivan

King Jeff, Director Phil Dale

Weeki Watchee Girls, Director Kim Cummings

Steve’s Perfect Vacation, Director Anandh Ramesh

Maine Story, Director Nina Chernik

Dated Advice, Director Dan Truman

In Jackson Heights at 4 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon, Roosevelt Avenue is buzzing with energy as commuters file in and out of subway cars and onto the street and cars and trucks grapple to get down the busy road.
