Police Release Video of Suspects Who Shot Man on Northern Boulevard in LIC

April 28, 2021 By Ryan Songalia

Police released video footage Tuesday of a shooting that took place on Northern Boulevard in Long Island City earlier this month that left a man hospitalized.

The police said that two unidentified suspects approached a 44-year-old man at approximately 8:40 p.m. on April 9 in front of 30-25 Northern Blvd. and fired their weapons at him multiple times. The victim was struck in the arm and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

No information regarding a motive for the shooting was available, police said.

The NYPD hopes that the surveillance video, which shows the two suspects wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, will lead to the identification of the gunmen.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
