AOC is running lots of TV ads lately. If she was doing such a great job, she wouldn’t have to.

Even the NYTimes knows AOC has been lacking in serving her constituents. THAT is the job.

Here’s part of their half-hearted endorsement posted today:

“If, as we hope, she wins a second term, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez should devote energy and resources to constituent services, one area where her community is hungry for more of her attention.”

Ocasio-Cortez is the only choice. Opponent Caruso Cabrera is masty opportunist – she is a Republican who moved to Sunnyside a year ago to run against AOC, funded by same big real estate and Wall st donors who funded corrupt Joe Crowley – AOC needs to watch out for Queens Board of Elections during this election – it is still led by the corrupt attorneys Sweeney Reich and Bolz – who kept Joe Crowley in office illegitimately for so many years – and who worked against Tiffany Caban for free ! They also “helped” Hakeem Jefferies and Grace Meng so that they would be beholden to intellectually challenged Crowley – but AOC liberated Jeffries and Meng from Crowley’s control.
Watch how BOE attorneys “help” Caruso Cabrera ! She , just like Melinda Katz are beholden to the corrupt Crowley attorneys who run the BOE, and who enrich the Crowley family and their attorney on surrogate court. Katz turns a blind eye and Caruso Cabrera will help their corruption.

Election season brings out the “intellectually challenged” conspiracy theorist with many names.

It also brings out the Trumpsters with their autoclickers to thumb themselves up because nobody else will.

I’m not a Trumpster and I don’t have an auto clicker. Wish AOC had this many staffers serving the district rather than her RE-election campaign.

She proves it day in and day out every time she either opens her mouth or uses Twitter.

Our district cannot afford to make the same mistake twice.

‘The Squad’ doesn’t have to worry about primary challengers. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is still pretty popular in her district. Many residents who claim they will not vote for her are just saying that to get by and survive racist. ignorant and sexists landlords, neighbors and co workers in our communities. The votes will speak for themselves when the time comes. Just wait and see.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was on GMC this week! She helped explain why she supports calls to defund police. Everyday people like myself will re-elect her! Thank you for your hard work and honest service to this country Congresswomen Ocasio-Cortez.

Vote for Badrun Khan, a resident of Sunnyside!! Please interview her also! She is the best candidate to represent district 14.

There are other candidates running against her. Which means her name recognition and strong base will get AOC the votes she will need to be re-elected. The other votes will be scattered among mostly unknown candidates. During her first election two of her supporters knocked on my door twice. No other candidate has ever sent supporters to my home.

Yes, the progressives are really the rich snobs who depend on their rich parents’ trust funds. They have no useful skills so they carved out the minority groups from the rest of the population and convinced them to vote for them in return for government money and programs, which perpetuates the minorities’ dependence on government and keeps them behind on their earning power. The ones who realize that this is the case become as successful as anyone else. If you want to be successful in life, you gotta break free from the economic and free thinker shackles that the progressives imposed on you.

Owning a golden tower in Midtown Manhattan with your name on it doesn’t make you a rich snob lmao

Both democrats and republican leaders want and need progressives like AOC and the “squad” to stay in office. There reasoning might be very different but they are a big part of the whole political circus. Those of you who dont think that AOC supporters have moved to her district just to be able to vote for her and keep her in office need to wake up. She is going to be re-elected. Media has even predicted that AOC will run against Chuck Schumer.

AOC has my vote again. Proud that my representative has been a strong leader on climate change, expanding health care to all, and fighting the Trump/GOP agenda. Also love how she has energized so many young people – the energy we need going into November, for sure.

@Woodside Resident:

“Proud that my representative has been a strong leader on climate change”

If you bothered to read the Green Bad Deal, you’d learn that it has NOTHING to do with the environment. It reads like a junior high report on Socialism (which is the highest level AOC is capable of).

She is waaaay out of league and always has been.

NO THANK YOU.

But until then

Politicians in the past ran on the platform of working with business in helping to secure good paying jobs as well as safe neighborhoods and getting a balance with civilians and the local authorities. it was the general goal that most of them strive to achieve for their constituents. Ocasio-Cortez has taken the opposite approach, No solid approach to Job creation, Businesses are somehow almost evil and not to be trusted for anything, not even a job.Her suggestion to Close prisons without a comprehensive study to the impact it has on neighborhoods or event the prisoners themselves. In the short time she has been a congressperson it is very apparent that she has no true grasp of anything. She is angry and is in a constant state of lashing out. We cant allow her to have 4 more years or she will continue to drive the city towards desperation. Perhaps she and her supporters have a better plan for when they create businesses that everyone gets paid equal in their companies and that door locks and pull down gates become a thing of the past

Being an immigrant whose policies do not align with mine does not earn you to my vote any more than being born here and supporting bad policies would. MCC is a corporate Democrat, and a Democrat by name only. She was a Republican until rather recently and still harbors those instincts, I’m afraid. Hard pass.

Did she actually say the police have tanks? Well, Trump can say the dumbest thing so I’ll give her a pass. I know the LAPD received flack for having an armored vehicles with a battering ram to go into crack dealer homes. That was in the eighties. Face recognition? If you ever go to various police precincts, police cars are parked left and right and broken down. She is right that health insurance is not portable unlike a 401K and even the maximum contribution is ridiculously low. She shouldn’t roll over and allow Republicans to craft covid19 stimulus bills to favor the rich. One airline CEO even with a bailout said layoffs will still happen. Free college for all?! I respect her for saying the Democratic Party shouldn’t be complicate and being in the pockets of lobbyists. She’s a mixed bag of practicality and extremism.

Michelle Caruso Cabrera. Only recently semi moved to Sunnyside. She lives in Trump Tower and keeps a rental in the 11104 for political reasons.

Similar to Hilary Clinton. When she moved to UPSTATE NY and ran for a NY political position.

Ocasio Cortez does not live in the area and was raised in Westchester. She does not even try to maintain a real residence in the area. She is the female Crowley who really resided in Virginia and does nothing for constituent services. Vote for Caruso Cabrera of you want positive results.

Similar to AOC who was probably not or very close to not living in the Bronx when she begun he campaign ( that she auditioned for by the way) .she is Yonkers not this urban Bronx girl she claims to be.

Hillary ran for U.S. Senate, and Senators have different residency requirements when running than House members.

AOC has never lived in Queens.

Re: did she did

Confirmed!

“democrats” “pro open borders” are way MORE intolerant than republicans.

They can’t read a grammar mistake when it comes from a immigrant.

CONFIRMADO! No se dejen engañar compañeros, los socialistas de aquí son tan malos como los socialistas de nuestros paises. Que dejen de usarnos de escusa! Quieren nuestro voto para despues ignorarnos.

Why has Trump completely failed to deliver one of his central campaign promises?

Pro open borders? Trump has a Republican senate and hasn’t built an inch of border wall in 4 years. Undocumented immigrants are at an all time high.

Sorry how is that Democrats fault again? He pretended Mexico would make a “one-time payment” for it, you actually believed him! ?

Making fun of you for being stupid isn’t anti-immigrant, it’s anti-stupid. Many immigrants are very smart and speak English very well.

She’s a total con to the gullible “progressives” out there. Living off taxpayer funds in her posh DC digs while she tweets and does nothing beneficial for this district. She even voted against the funding bills that were designed to support failing small businesses. Vote on June 23.

A congresswoman living in DC, the outrage!

You didn’t vote for the president that golfs at his private home in Florida, the second largest mansion in the entire state did you? He was golfing during the height of the pandemic.

Otherwise, WOW you’d look silly!

Not waiting for June 23. I already voted absentee, as did many others. Given how long it took to receive my ballot in the mail, I suspect it will take at least a few days for results to be counted.

Hall of Famer Lou Carnesecca, legendary St. John’s basketball coach, dies at 99

The St. John’s University community will gather to mourn legendary basketball coach Lou Carnesecca on the Hillcrest campus he loved with all of his heart Friday morning for his Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Church, where he will be remembered not just for building a dynamic program, but for the way he did it. The beloved coach died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, Nov. 30, at age 99 and just five weeks shy of his 100th birthday.

“Throughout his long life, Coach Carnesecca represented St. John’s with savvy, humility, smarts, tenacity, wit, integrity and grace,” SJU President Rev. Brian Shanley said. “He was the public face of our University, and he embodied the values of our Catholic and Vincentian mission. We thank God for his legacy.”
