NYPD: 7-train passenger puts cellphone under woman’s shirt and records

Suspect (NYPD)

Dec. 31, 2016 Staff Report

The police are looking for a man who allegedly held his cellphone under a woman’s shirt on the 7 train earlier this week and started recording.

The 27-year-old victim was standing on the Manhattan-bound 7 train at around 8:15 pm Wednesday when she felt the suspect touch her right leg. She looked down and observed the man holding a cellphone under her shirt and recording, police said.

The perpetrator has been described as Hispanic, approximately 45-years of age, 5’7″, 175 lbs., light complexion, salt & pepper hair, and last seen blue coat and black shoes.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS

Thank god for the era of mobile technology, where some subway riders have shown some vigilance by filming or taking photos of the crime and/or the suspect in a subway train. Keep in mind that there are no CCTV security cameras in these subway cars.

I think he’s innocent until proven guilty. Who’s to say the “victim” is not making the story up?

You people are trying to shame this guy by saying he doesn’t look straight, but you are insulting gay folks by associating this creep with the gay community. Your comment proves prejudice is alive and well in america. Legitimized and celebrated by the president elect. This guy may be a pervert, but your generalizations say more about you than the suspect.

I hope to God he sees his face here and realizes he will carry a shame that lasts his whole life long. It is a crime to steal the privacy of women. It is a filthy shameful crime, whether you are ever caught or not.
