A new COVID-19 testing center will open at a Woodside church Thursday, State Sen. Michael Gianaris announced today.

The testing site will open inside St. Sebastian’s Church, located at 58-02 Roosevelt Ave. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from May 21 through May 26.

Testing is available to qualified residents by appointment only. Residents can schedule an appointment by calling 833-766-6769.

Gianaris and local community group Woodside on the Move are encouraging all qualified western Queens residents to get tested for coronavirus at the site.

“Keeping our community safe is paramount and increased testing will help ensure everyone’s well-being. Only by working together will we effectively combat coronavirus,” Gianaris said. “I am proud to partner in this effort with Woodside on the Move, an organization which has been instrumental in effectuating substantial progress in our community.”

Testing is available to the following individuals under the state’s guidelines.

Outrageous, The Catholic Church’s response during this crisis has been disgraceful, No reason for St Sebastians to have been closed for prayer, Now it is being used for a testing Centre , It is criminal, Fr Kevin should resign or just keep hiding out in his so called summer home, He has let down his congregation BIGTIME .

The building originated as Loew’s Woodside, a movie palace that fell victim to the arrival of home TV and was sold to the church. Some of the original décor is still evident in the chapel.

I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?

Are there free Lysol injection centers in Queens? Duane Reade is out of the lemon-flavored injections.
