Knights of Columbus Fight For Girl’s Life

The Knights of Columbus are holding a fundraising event this Sunday to help a 2 1/2-year-old girl overcome a life-threatening disease.

The young girl, Sophia Tavolacci, suffers from Aplastic Anemia and needs a bone marrow transplant in order to survive. Her mother is expected to be a match for her daughter; however, the woman’s medical insurer refuses to cover the costly procedure.

Therefore, the Knights of Columbus are extending their hand by putting on a magic show between 1pm and 5pm, Nov. 8, in an attempt to raise money. The event is being held at 49-18 Queens Blvd, Woodside.

Donations can also be made to: Sophia Tavolacci, Sophia’s Fund, P.O. Box 770423, Woodside, NY 11377
