An app that connects dog owners to walkers and sitters will be offering complementary dog-friendly ice cream at Queens dog parks this Friday.

Wag!, an on-demand pet walking and board ing app, will post ice cream carts at three dog parks from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The carts will be located at Little Bay Dog Run at 14th Rd. and Utopia Pkwy in Whitestone; at Torsney/Lou Lodati Playground at 41-15 Skillman Ave. in Sunnyside; and at Underbridge Dog Run at 64th Ave. and Grand Central Pkwy in Forest Hills.

The stations will be offering Frosty Paws brand ice cream in original and peanut butter flavors, according to a promoter for the event. The company selected Frosty Paws because the ice cream is made with natural ingredients and is free of xylitol, a sugar substitute which can be toxic for dogs, the promoter said.

The event was conceived as a way for dogs to cool down in the heat along with their owners, said the promoter.

“In this humid weather, we all scream for ice cream— even the dogs!” the promoter said.

Wag! will also offer shaded “cool down” stations where dogs can rest and recover from the heat.

Wag! offers dog walking service from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Walks can be ordered on a recurring schedule or on-demand. The app offers a GPS tracking service for owners to monitor their pets on their walk.

El Loco is still running amok after all these years! We have to get you a job, buddy. Are you still doing the dishes and taking out the trash for allowance $? I am not very keen on online dog walking apps, too many lost dogs & turnover of dog walkers. Anyone out there with a dog should do their research on dog walkers before choosing one. If you need recommendations you can contact me @ sudsmutts@hotmail.com, our neighborhood has a bunch of great dog walkers, many in the biz for a decade plus.

I’m happy to announce we will be offering the dog ice cream in three flavors: Garbage, Toilet Water, and Other Dog’s Butt.

You can bet Rick Durro and his dog people are already setting their alarms. What a waste of time.

Queens streets for all

We contacted Congressman Crowley’s office about this. The doggy ice cream vendors should double park in the bike lane. Using one parking space affects us all!

As a pediatrician, I have given thousands of shots to children over the years. While definitely one of the least ‘fun’ parts of my job, I know that it is one of the most important. Most of these children received their shots on schedule during their well visits, and I saw them come back year after year.  It was always a joy to watch newborns grow into healthy kids who brought me drawings and cards.
