Police are searching for a man and woman who robbed a 7-train straphanger at gunpoint and later forced him off at the 40th Street station last month.

The 38-year-old victim was inside a Manhattan bound 7 train at midnight on Oct. 29 when the unknown man approached him and demanded his property at gunpoint, police say.

The victim handed over his wallet and cell phone to the man, who then passed it over to his female accomplice. She then placed the stolen items inside her jacket.

The duo then forced the victim off the train once it pulled into the 40th Street-Lowery Street station. Both the man and woman stayed on board the train.

Both suspects are described as Hispanic and in their 30s. The male is between 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and white sneakers.

The woman is described as 5 feet 9 inches, and was last seen wearing a black jacket with white lining, dark colored pants and black sneakers.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

Get rid of the Bike Lanes and build more Municipal Parking Garages so we don’t have to use the disgusting Subway System. There are no functioning “Rest Rooms” on the 7 Line the MTA must think the passengers should all wear “Depends”? No more High Rise Luxury Housing, Parking Garages are needed, not housing for Annuity Babies. No one uses the Bike Lanes, but most people would appreciate CLEAN, Functioning, Rest Rooms. If the Politicions can’t figure that out, what can they figure out?

New York has the strictest gun laws in the nation. It’s impossible for citizens to legally carry weapons for self defense in ny. The criminal will win every time.

At gun point, unless you arw th fastest gun slinger in NYC, the only thing you can do is hand over what you got.

Unless you are hoping there will be other straphangers who’ll step up and point their guns on these guys, reservoir dogs stand off? I doubt it. Why didn’t he just ask the station agent to report gun toting thugs and have them stop the train between stations and cops can board at next station? Seriously what needs to happen for 108 to pick up these guys?

Did 108 catch the blue hoodie loser who punched the driver?

I’ve never needed a gun for self-defense and I sleep better knowing that most NYers are not armed. Where there are many guns, there are many shooting and accidental deaths. There are reasons why NYC gun deaths are so low compared to so many other cities where guns are plentiful and loosely regulated. Please educate your self and stop with the ignorance already.

Good for you, I’m glad you feel safe and sleep like a baby at night. Your right, statistics vary in different places and some places are safer than others. But as an law abiding individual there should be a right to protect your self from danger. Statistics didn’t help that guy who got robbed and luckily didn’t loose his life.

looks like i have to get a 9mm to protect me from thugs. criminals are an important demographic for democrat vote support and are aggressively protected. Stand Your Ground legal protection for victims does not exists in NY. I would rather be judged by 12 members of a jury than carried by 6 pole bearers. But that’s just me.

Interesting point about pole bearers. Are those strippers? Are they related to pallbearers?

What’s wrong with pole bearers!?! Track and Field athletes are among the finest and toughest competitors on the planet. So angry.

Just try not to “Lick The Stripper Pole” when stopping at Galliger’s 2000. It’s not good for you! Lol!
