Crime is Down, Except Burglaries

For the first 28 days of September, police precinct 108 reported that crime was down across all categories with the exception of burglaries– compared with the month of August. Precinct 108 covers Sunnyside, Long Island City and Woodside.

Points of reference, according to a Sunnyside Post reporter in attendence.

No murders. Three rapes–all involving couples who knew one another. And eight robberies during September, down from 12.

Until the Sunnyside Post puts up its own story, we suggest going to the following story posted by the Queens Gazette.
