Claret Gets Approval for Outdoor Seating

Claret, the newly-established popular wine bar on Skillman Ave., has been given the thumbs up by Community Board 2 for side-walk seating. The seating will not be on Skillman Ave. but on 46th Street. There are expected to be as many as a dozen tables and 24 seats.

Donato’s, a well-established Italian restaurant on 39th Avenue at 51st Street, was approved yet again for outdoor seating.

The almost-but-not-quite the weekend lag leaves hungry commuters faced with another choice to make throughout their day and the array of food truck options in busy areas like Jackson Heights offers customers convenience and delicious food without breaking the bank, two features that can feel vital, particularly with rising costs of living and pressure from inflation.
