Bloomberg to Visit Irish Celebration in Sunnyside

This Saturday, October 17, a number of young boys (6-10 year olds) will be playing Gaelic football at Sunnyside Garden’s Park, according to an article in the Irish Voice newspaper.

Gaelic football is a tough Irish sport that looks like a hybrid between rugby and soccer. Players can pick up the ball and run with it to get closer to scoring goals, but face being tackled in the process.

The event will be part of an Irish festival, where traditional Irish music, dance and food can be found.

As part of the occasion, Mayor Mike Bloomberg will be in attendence.  Unfortunately, the time of the event has not been provided. If anyone knows, please leave a comment.
