Blink Fitness, which touts itself as offering discount pricing and modern equipment, opened its Woodside facility yesterday.

The gymnasium is located at 56-02 Roosevelt Avenue inside what was a dilapidated two-story manufacturing building.

“We are excited to open our doors and welcome the Woodside community,” said Michael Fisher, Club Manager, in a statement. “We’re sure that Blink will become a healthy, happy hub of activity in the neighborhood.”

The Woodside facility, Fisher said, offers 70 pieces of cardio equipment and 60 pieces of strength training equipment. It also offers free weights and all types of machines that cover upper body, lower body, and core.

Certified personal trainers will also be available.

Fisher said the monthly rate is $15 for members who sign up for a year and only use the Woodside facility, while it is $20 to $25 per month for those who enter into a one-year contract and want to use multiple Blink gyms.

Blink Fitness was established as a value brand in 2011 and has 50 locations throughout New York and New Jersey. The Woodside facility is its 5th in Queens, with the others being in Astoria, Jackson Heights, Ozone Park and Jamaica.

Woodside Location’s Club Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 5am to 11pm
Friday: 5am to 10pm
