Robber Nabbed for Chase Bank Heist

Police have arrested the man who allegedly robbed the Sunnyside branch of Chase Bank in December, according to published reports.

Victor Larsen, 48, was originally picked up by the police for stealing a movie at a Best Buy on Lexington Avenue. A cop then recognized him from an NYPD wanted poster.

Last month, Larsen allegedly entered the Chase branch at 47-11 Queens Boulevard, approached the teller armed with a handgun in his waist band and passed a demand note. The teller complied with the note and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

Larsen also admitted to police he was wanted by the FBI for a number of bank robberies dating back to Dec. 7.

A Brooklyn man was indicted by a Queens grand jury on charges of manslaughter, drunk driving and other crimes for a fatal collision in Astoria that killed his long-time girlfriend and mother of their young child in February.

Ray Perez, 27, of Caton Avenue in Flatbush, was arraigned Thursday in Queens Supreme Court on a 13-count indictment charging him with vehicular manslaughter for allegedly speeding through a stop sign in Astoria, colliding with another vehicle and slamming into two parked cars, and then driving nearly four miles away to a street in Maspeth before seeking help for his 29-year-old girlfriend Bridget Enriquez, who later succumbed to her injuries.
