The development boom on 52nd Street between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Boulevard continues with a real estate company filing plans to construct a nine-story, 33-unit development on the stretch.

The proposed development would go up at 43-09 52nd St., where a 3-story multi-family building is currently located. The site is adjacent to a property where a 10 story 60-unit building is going up. Across the street, at 43-30 52nd St., a 5 story, 10-unit development is being built.

The developments are all within a block of the 52nd Street subway station.

The building plans for the 43-09 52nd St. site call for a 90-foot-tall structure that would yield 24,546 square feet—all for residential purposes. The owner is listed as Ivan Turkalj of Kordun Construction Corp. Demolition permits have yet to be filed.

The design firm is listed as T.F. Cusanelli & Filletti Architecture.

Too much building. The
Dynamics of the neighborhood are changing. If you want big buildings move to Manhattan. Green space and blue skies are disappearing.
Just a shame

Go up and down Queens Blvd. and all you see are either blocks of businesses torn down and ugly residential buildings going up or residential buildings already up and if you look at the windows, there are no blinds or curtains – translation – empty! Community boards are worthless and the DOB has been getting paid under the table since their inception. Are these places going to be Section 8 housing for people who come here and don’t want to assimilate, even though they are being supported by tax dollars?

Build it and they will come, with local attorney and RE broker Scott W. Cooper closing on the deal.
