Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Woodside Thursday

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday at the intersection of Broadway and 69th Street—at the southbound exit ramp off the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be released, was hit at around 9:20 p.m. while crossing the street within the marked crosswalk. Police were called to the scene where they found him lying on the roadway unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to his head and body.

EMS responded to the scene and transported him to NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the driver did not remain on the scene and an investigation remains ongoing. The NYPD did not provide a description of the vehicle.

Too lenient on dangerous drivers...

Driver should be charged with murder if caught. No excuse for leaving the scene.

unless there’s a traffic camera, they wont ever catch him. the killer got away with murder.
