Jan. 1, 2021 By Christian Murray

Two men were shot in a drive-by shooting in Long Island City in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The victims were sitting in their car on the corner of 9th Street and Queens Plaza South at around 12:15 a.m. when another vehicle drove up beside them and shots were fired, according to police.

One of the victims, 20, sustained a shot to the leg. The other victim, 17, was shot in the left shoulder. Both were transported to a local hospital and did not sustain life threatening injuries.

Police received a call about the shooting from an individual who was at 5-26 46th Ave.  A spokesperson for the police was unable to explain why the report was made there.

However, a bullet-ridden car was at the 46th Avenue location after the shooting.

The Long Island City incident was one of two shootings in Queens shortly into the New Year. A triple shooting took place at a Kew Gardens hotel at 1:10 a.m. that left one man dead.

Gun violence once again in the African American community once again. It is ignored by the mainstream media again but when a white women harasses an African American teenager it is worldwide headlines. America wants to confront one problem but not the other. Let’s see you print this!

Until we know about who was shot, we can just move on, nothing to see…The real crime here is driving around in that busted car with that spare tire.
Was this car moved after being shot at? The bullet holes in the picture are on sidewalk side?
Also, if everyone keeps staying silent and not reporting every sketchy character who is loitering around, this will increase.
