An alleged robber put a 62-year-old in a chokehold and punched him for a mere $4 in Long Island City last month.
The unidentified man grabbed the 62-year-old man at a Shell gas station, located at 38-02 21st St., at 2:35 p.m. on Aug. 31 and placed him in a chokehold, police said.
He then punched the victim in the face and stole $4 from his shirt pocket. The suspect ran off on foot with the few dollars, police said.
The victim refused medical attention, according to police.

Y’all wrote that he did, indeed steal from this man! The fact that the victim was able to tell you exactly how much (or how little) was taken is proof that the money was taken by the assailant. I guarantee you it wouldn’t have been alleged if the assailant was white.
Charge him with assault and battery and theft.

Better yet, where are the $6 billion-dollar NYPD cops when you need them? On their phones playing Candy Crush, busting up teenagers for jaywalking, or hanging out in the subway without masks? Not catching criminals, that’s for sure!
