An argument between two men on a Sunnyside street Tuesday turned violent when one stabbed the other multiple times, according to cops.
On Tuesday at 10:25 p.m., the two were engaged in a verbal dispute at the corner of 51st Street and 43rd Avenue when one of the men took out a knife and stabbed the other multiple times on his left knee, right chest, left wrist, left arm and armpit, police said.
The 39-year-old victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD released photos and a description of the individual in hopes of identifying him. He is described as Hispanic, about 30 years old, six feet tall, 180 pounds with black straight hair that was pulled into a ponytail. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt with white lettering on the front and black sneakers.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this man is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Same guy pic with different cameras one with infrared night vision and one without
It’s a person’s right to drink or be drunk in public..
No, that’s a choice.
I contacted 311 complete with pics of the hole near the gutter on 51and 43rd Ave right outside Patrons bodega back in April. You know, where the Korean newspaper van /always/ parks. Freaking hole is still there!
Question, so as I lifelong Woodside/Sunnyside resident, who walked 8 blocks to grammar school and back, for 7 years, then was back and forth on Skillman Avenue most of her life, I used to know most of the folks hanging on the corner or in the parks. Today, not so much. Is it better to know the shady crew hanging on the corner or is it better for them to be strangers? I always thought the ones you know from the neighborhood took some pride in looking out for passerby. The strangers, not so much. Of course, when you know them, you’re usually hit up for a few bucks. I agree a police presence is necessary, consistently.
They should close that bar Deseo on Roosevelt Ave near 53 St. Nothing but bad crowd and drugs go on . Why dont they bring some nice stores as they have on Broadway in Astoria. It a pleasure to shop there . But up on Roosevelt Ave is nothing but problems.
We need a Police Pct, closer to us. Only time I see police car is for that Quality Shelter for the Homeless on QB otherwise I ever hardly see any cops patrol area.
There is a 24-hour bodega where people buy beer. The guys who own it are hard working but they have to call 911 0r 311 when these creeps hang out or cause trouble. I suspect police will not respond thanks to Mayor DeBozo. Police are being told to “ignore” low level crime. Look where it leads.
That place was always a dump .Extremely loud music during week nights ,drug dealers, violence etc.Cant believe it’s still open.
Exactly. Bring back the Broken Windows policy. The city needs it. And De Blasio should retire early so he can have more time to embarrass himself while running for President.
Very concerned that the new park being designed for 39th Ave and 50 Street across from Phipps may become the same way during the day and at night as the park on 51st St. and 43rd Ave!
You must call 311 for non emergencies.
But twits up to no good are emergencies.
And, idk how many times I call 311 for non emergencies and either am on hold for a dog’s age or they transfer me to 911!!! Then 911 YELLS at me for calling them!!!!
It used to be you left the house and made sure you had money and your keys (and then your phone). Now it’s “I gotta make sure I have my knife or gun with me”. It’s disgusting, scary and this city gets worse and worse.

National Night Out Against Crime – 108th precinct hosted it in the affluent area of Long Island City. The other parks are ignored…
They won’t be safe anywhere else.
Its not because of affluence… It’s because 108 is too lazy to go anywhere.
the night out on crime has been to other parks last year it was at little bush park, the year before its was a at windmuller park, year before it was at Lou Lodati and noonan park .
so before u make in correct statement check yr facts .
That used to be a federally designated poverty area. It was part of QUALICAP Which stood Queens Bridge, Astoria, Long Island City community action program. No I was affluent? Lived there most of my life.
Disgraceful how these bums have taken over every park in Woodside & Sunnyside, There was 5 squad cars arresting a guy on 51st and Skillman on Monday night also, Don’t know what that was about.
Amazing how someone will spend time just clicking the thumbs up icon to create a false perception.
That John Downing Park is filled with shady people. It’s a tiny area filled with what it appears to be transients drunks to/from jail or rehab.
Was it really stranger or drug deal gone wrong? Also two pictures look like different person, but they are not, they are same guy, just different lighting, which tells you something about these pictures, they mean nothing, and you can’t really identify people by these photos. What we need is more readily available police presence in sunnyside. Come on 108, seriously bring some boys in blue, pricinct is so far away, we need like a satellite station for sunnyside, with so many people and so many new faces sketch people around
The alleged two different persons are somehow wearing the same T-shirt.
I first thought those cannot be pictures of the same person – but you are right, mostly the same clothing etc — surprising.
I thought all crime was supposed to disappear since Catz is now DA
Katz is not the DA yet. The General election is in November.
Hopefully this guy will be arrested soon.
Criminal suspect described as Hispanic. Wow, what a shocker! It’s rare to see Hispanics committing crime.
What race are the mass shooters?
Omar Mateen was Afghanistani, Esteban Santiago-Ruiz was Puerto Rican, Syed Farook was Pakistani, DeWayne Craddock was African American , lMohammad Abdulazeez was Jordanian. 58% of mass shooting are committed by whites who make up 60 percent of the population. It doesn’t fit the media’s and the leftist agenda that mental ill ( as you have to be to do these things) animals comes across all nationalities and creeds, they want people to believe that there is solely a tide of crazy white rascist males coming for everyone. Mental health issues have got to be addressed, not these ridiculously constant race baiting fear mongering
Charleston church shooting? Overland Park, Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting, Moore’s Ford Lynching? I wonder why the right wants to ignore them…
I did, I said 60% of the mass shooters were white, reading is fundamental. Try it out sometimes.
I wonder why you cherry picked people that weren’t from the majority of mass shooters? Why are Trump lovers so eager to defend nazis? Hmm…
Find out what the majority of them are in the USA and you will get your answer.
The guys that committed this stabbing shot someone?
Source: the world
Is that you Sharpton?
What ethnic group were the 9/11 terrorists wise ass?
But to El loco’s point, other things have happened before
That street is dangerous
Too many bums drinking and carrying on
The 108th needs to step up is game
Men also pee against the buildings on 51 st at night
I see it multiple times a week. You have to call 311 to report these degens.
These are 2 different photos of 2 different people.
But, they are clearly both wearing (mostly) the same clothing — pretty weird.
Complete with the same undershirt and black bag in the same hand???
51st Street & 43rd Ave is Woodside, NY 11377. Please stop trying to bring down my property value here in Sunnyside.
Good point — that’s what I thought too — I’ve always called that area Wooside, but it’s difficult to confirm the exact boundary — do you have a link for that?
Long Island City, NY 11104 Paste into google will bring up zip code map.
Your correct it is Woodside, Last street in Woodside on that side, That’s why I bought there,
Would not live in Sunnyside for love nor money.
Always dirtbags and drunks hanging out on that corner
