A new steak house, with a Tex-Mex flavor, had its grand opening April 10.

The restauraunt, called Real Santa Re Steak House, is fairly upmarket for the neighborhood. Its menu includes T-bone steaks, Filet Mignon and Black Angus Skirt Steak — all for between $16 and $18.

Real Santa Fe is located at 47-08 47 Ave. It replaces a Chinese restaurant, according to the restaurant co-owners.

“Our aim is to sell steak at good prices that has a Tex-Mex flavor,” said restaurant co-owner Carlos Romero, a butcher. “A typical steak house sells steak for $30 and it doesn’t have much flavor,” he added.

The restaurant is also owned by Omar Ramos. Ramos was a chef in Manhattan and used to receive his meat cuts from Romero.

Enrique Flores, a former chief at a Mexican restaurant in Manhattan, is the chef at this new restaurant.

The restaurant does deliveries. The phone number is (718) 392-2684
