CityMD will be opening a Sunnyside location next year on Greenpoint Avenue.

The urgent care provider will take up the the ground floor at 47-16 Greenpoint Ave., where the four-story building known as “Sunnyside Point” is being constructed.

CityMD said it does not have a specific opening date, but anticipates opening some time in the spring.

The developer, AB Capstone, is also expected to open the residential portion of the building in the spring.

CityMD centers provide services ranging from physical exams, vaccinations, pediatric care, lab tests, x-rays, and treatment for injuries and illnesses.

The centers provide walk-in hours at all times, and are typically open all seven days for up to 12 hours a day. The Sunnyside location, however, will open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

A CityMD spokesperson said the Greenpoint Avenue site’s hours will be standardized closer to opening day.

The Sunnyside location will occupy 3,000 square feet, and will be the 11th location to open in Queens.

In addition to CityMD, Neighborhood Radiology Services, a medical imaging center with multiple locations in New York City, will occupy the cellar and second floor, as well as part of the ground floor, of the building.

The two medical offices join several private practices, clinics, and medical centers in the Sunnyside-Woodside area.

Perhaps the docs can live in the upscale units? Why not make the whole building a medical paradise, instead of throwing in a few costly apartments?

This is great, if City MD is OK if you need immediate assistance, let’s hope they really will have full in-house facility including x-ray and lab, because have you ever tried getting an x-ray at one of those “chain” imaging facilities, you will waste half your day.

In reference to bike lanes, I don’t see how they stop ambulances from moving around, if you want to make an argument against bike lanes, use something valid, don’t use weak arguments that are pointless. For example, those pedestrian islands are now suddenly places for people to park/stand and block the view of bikers/other cars. Oh yeah don’t forget that bikers don’t obey traffic laws either, that’s a good argument instead of “ambulances can’t move around” nonsense.

Great news to have this in the neighborhood so close. Will save lives as closest hospitals are a bit far from the area.

I bet Trump will take credit for opening City MD in Sunnyside, too.”We did great things folks, look we helped open City MD in Sunnyside. “

Doesn't replace a gp, but still great

Ever try to get a same-day appointment with you gp? How about on a sunday?

Park or Die

We need this now that the ambulances cannot respond fast enough due to the new bike lanes.

I have been hoping for a CityMD in Sunnyside for a while. This will be a really great addition – they work seamlessly and fill the giant void this city has with hospitals. Fantastic news.
