Its the obvious laziness from the 108th precinct like this that makes nypd look bad to most people.

if u piece together info from google, u basically have:
1. released name of victim (days later)
2. the fact that it was 2 white guys (1 the victim danny and the other the shooter) involved.
3. a NY1 video clip that reached a lot of peoples eye with the equivalent of a google maps image and a cop car picture (no victim pic, no area videos of the other white guy).
4. The fact that victim was shot once before in 2009 (out of all the info available to release to public – the cops decide this is the one fact that they should release to the public)

how about nypd gives a f*** and posts area vids of the other white guy and asks for tips? better yet, post it on NY1. or at least ur 108th website.

its disgraceful how little nypd tries to get info. i can’t even find mention of a MURDER IN SUNNYSIDE on the 108th website.

Sunnyside residents – email 108th and tell them to do their jobs to try to find a MURDER SUSPECT IN SUNNYSIDE.

Otherwise, why even release unless articles and info?

Id bet the suspect would be identified very quickly if they even put out a little more info on the MURDER SUSPECT IN SUNNYSIDE.

Its crazy how little NYPD and the media tries to do its jobs sometimes. Something is very wrong with the system. I don’t even know where to begin looking at something like this.

RIP to Danny – his friends, family, kids, wife will miss this guy.

or try to catch the MURDER SUSPECT IN SUNNYSIDE PEOPLES BACKYARDS by releasing some meaningful information to the public. How sad that they don’t treat these things as serious as they should. NYPD can’t keep a murder cases info accurate on their websites even? what the f***?

They should tear down that damn place and let the Chinese non union workers build another building that will blow up soon because they rig the gas lines after con Ed supposedly check them. Or… Just put up another hotel that deblasio can stick the homeless to keep them out of sight.

P.S. The last thing you will find in a “gentleman’s club” is a gentleman.

Anyone walking around that area at 4:00 AM is up to no good or just a plain fool.

Maybe we should take a cab to grab some food or emergency supplies or god knows what else someone might need at 4AM and has to visit Food Dynasty (whatever it is called now) or any other 24hr place like Rite Aid? Nobody should ever feel this way in any safe neighborhood. If that’s the case, would invite our fine NYPD to walk around in plain clothes and catch a few would be muggers and make posters out of them so that we can get some fear into people who could think twice before robbing or shooting someone. Obviously this is an isolated incident, but it’s scary to think we have people like that few blocks from us.. What’s next, they will shoot us if we cut them off or make them miss the light turning? (That reminds me, we need more speed bumps in the neighborhood)

@captain obvious You obviously had nothing to worry about already, unless yuou meet up and go drinking with people who shoot you because you have some type of argument. Ask property owners in Jackson Heights if misidentification of a neighborhood in the headline of a homicide is harmless. most of the homicides in the 80’s & 90’s identified in the press were actually Corona, Elmhurst and East Elmhursrt. If you’re going to report news for a specific neighborhood or neighborhoods you should at least know the boundaries of those neighborhoods. captain obvious it’s called standards and professionalism something that obviously doesn’t matter to people like you.

@luvu2 A person familiar with the investigation says the gunman and the victim, both white men, had been inside the Secrets Gentleman’s Club at 49-14 Queens Blvd. and got into an argument while leaving the premises. The suspect drew a gun and shot the victim in the chest and fled, according to the source who said there are a half dozen witnesses who are cooperating with the investigation. No mention of the maor you imbecile.

Why would anyone dislike this post? Is it because that side had more information? Now the question is, did that club release any videos or pictures of these people? Surely 108 must have requested records, unless they magically purged somehow. There are bunch of other cameras in that area.

Finally we have random shooting right at the heart of our neighborhood. I really hope SSP can follow up and give us more information, especially if this was a robbery or something personal so we can know if we should stop walking around around 4AM in the neighborhood. Did they take anything from the guy? We don’t need his name to get more information.

Let me guess… Related to Secrets strip club? There was a spray painted threat on the club not too long ago. Maybe related. Maybe not.
