Van Bramer Pledges “Full Support” for Sunnyside North Dog Run

Councilmember-elect Jimmy Van Bramer visited Torsney Park last night and told members of a local dog group that he was in “full support” for the creation building of a dog run.

Community Board 2 has approved a space at Torsney Park (43rd and Skillman Ave.) for the dog run but the funding has not come through.

Van Bramer was 100% receptive and on-board. “I’m for it,” he said. “I want to make it happen,” according to Monika Fabian, a local reporter. He is now investigating what happened to the funding.

They have nothing to do with each other, S_S. They may seem close geographically but Nolan isn’t even our Assemblywoman and that’s isn’t a part of our district.

I also heard something about a dog run planned for a spot on Laurel Hill near the expressway. Nolan was involved in that… anyone have details? I’m surprised there are efforts to build two so close to each other given the economic climate.
