In the past two months, there have been a series of business closures on Greenpoint Ave. between 46th and 47th.
The most notable was Yogurberry, a trendy ice-cream shop that closed after being in business for less than a year. The business owner, who had spent large sums on modernizing its decore, still had the “Grand Opening” banner on display when it shut down.
Yogurberry is on the same block as a psychic who went out of business last month. Furthermore, directly across the street a Mexican sports bar has closed.

never want to see businesses closing, but I hope that’s true about the mexican bar… its the only spot in the neighborhood in the past couple of years that I’ve seen drunks fighting on the sidewalk in front of it. can’t say I’m surprised the yogurt place didn’t make it, it was always empty and i think a few similar places opened on QB recently.
