Pharmacy Shuts Down, Makes Way for Indian Restaurant

The site of the former Sunnyside/GSSV pharmacy is still in the midst of being split in two. The pharmacy closed down in August, shortly after authorities charged the owners with Medicaid fraud and banned them from participating in the government program for five years. (see http://www.sunnysidepost.com/2009/08/sunnyside-gssv-nabbed)

Sai Newsstand, a convenience store on the left hand side of the site,  has been in operation for about one month (see awning). Meanwhile, an Indian restaurant is currently in development on the right. When the Indian restaurant will be completed is not known.
