The annual All Saints’ Church Pumpkin Festival was held on Saturday
The warm weather helped boost attendance to the event, which was held on 46th Street between Queens Blvd. and 43rd Avenue.
Street vendors sold goods to many people who were looking for gift items for the upcoming holiday season.
In the middle of the crowd was Fr. Joseph D. Jerome, a Sunnyside community leader who was happily grilling burgers and franks for many. ” Fr. Joe”, as he is called, is the Rector of All Saints’ Church which draws people of different faiths in the area.

man, that looks just like the strawberry fair they do over the summer!! So I guess you just pick a fruit or gourd and put the word fesitival after and call it a street fair.
I walked through this Street Fair on Saturday. There was a BIG crowd! Seemed like lots of people were making purchases. There were actually some really nice goods being sold!! I am dead broke, but I would have loved one of the pink-ish, plaid cashmere scarves for $6!! (2 for $10!)
BTW: If you’re going to call it a “pumpkin” festival, shouldn’t there have beed a few more pumpkins? Perhaps there were some but they were sure hard to find.
These identikit street fairs are all as dull as dishwater.
I would love to see one that actually represents the neighborhood and has some of its own character. It’s basically people on the street with tables selling junk made in China. But apparently, I’m in the minority since people attended this one. C’est la vie.
