Oct. 19, 2010 Staff Report

Gino Florencia, who was charged with murdering a Sunnyside man outside a 48th Street apartment building last October, tried to kill two witnesses to that crime before his upcoming trial, according to police.

Florencia killed Edison Vera, via a gunshot to the chest on Oct. 24, 2009, while wounding Miguel Llanos, who survived shots to the torso and arm. He tried to kill another man that day, who was unharmed. The event took place in front of 45-55 48th Street.

Florencia allegedly wanted to kill two of the witnesses to the crime, including Llanos.

He spread word that he would pay $2,000 for the hit.

However, Florencia met an undercover cop at Rikers, where he handed over detailed information about the targets, including their addresses and hangout.

Isn't it obvious

When the facts are this solid and the witnesses of a crime are attacked it should be as if you attacked a law enforcement official… in other words stop wasting tax dollars giving people like this a trial.

This guy is a moron. I hope something bad happens to him while he is in prison. Sounds like a real coward.
