Woodside Library Ends Saturday Service

August 16, 2010 Staff Report

Beginning Sept 7, the Woodside Library, located at 54-22 Skillman Ave., will no longer be open on Saturdays, according to new information released by the Queens Library.

The Woodside branch, which is currently open between 10 am – 5:30 pm on Saturdays, has fallen victim to the Queens Library budget cuts, despite Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer’s widely-acclaimed ability to restore $17.6m in funding.

The Woodside library will maintain its normal Mon-Friday operating hours.

Woodside:      Mon, 1-8    Tues 1-6    Wed 10-6   Thurs 1-8  Fri   10-6

Meanwhile, the Sunnyside branch library will remain open on Saturdays 10 am-5:30 pm. Its weekly hours will remain unchanged.

Both the Woodside and Sunnyside branches will remain closed, as before, on Sundays.
