A woman suffered cuts to her face and hands while being robbed at knifepoint on the 7 train in Sunnyside early Sunday morning.

The victim, 32, got on the subway at the 46th Street–Bliss Street station at around 12:40 a.m. and was then approached by an unidentified man as the train headed toward Manhattan, according to police.

Police say the alleged suspect then shouted at the woman, “Don’t move, give me your money.”

The woman handed over her iPhone 13 before the perpetrator pulled out a box cutter and demanded cash, police said.

The victim then tried to run from the suspect, but he gave chase and a scuffle ensued where the woman was cut on her hands and her face, cops said.

When the train arrived at the 33rd Street station the perpetrator exited and fled, according to police.

The woman, who is of Asian descent, received medical treatment at the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as Black, around 40 years old, and about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He weighs about 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a black jacket and gray hat.

45 street in-between qb and queens midtown service road is very bad. Lots of robbery, mugging. It’s very bad at night by the church and the highway. Stay in at night if you live here.

If you’re that scared you should move

Ann this crime happened in the subway between 46th Street and 33rd streets. 45th Street and QB and Queens Midtown Service Road? Do you mean Borden Avenue? I’ve lived on 50h Ave and 44th street for 50 years there are no crime problems here.

I’m amazed that the Sunnyside Post (or any news outlet) finally had the courage to actually describe the criminal. I blame De Blasio who started all of this and the current mayor and administration that continue to do too little too late to solve these problems. Does anyone else think the bail reform was a really bad idea?

While I don’t agree with bail reform this is a combination of that with the lax DAs. In theory you can have bail reform because the people who committed the crimes would eventually get sentenced.

I just don’t understand how this is ok.

The majority of arrestees are white

Did the Jan 6 rioters represent ALL white people? Or is that just when a black person commits a crime?

O wow “The suspect is described as Black, around 40 years old” when is the black community going to get their s**t together and stop blaming racism and white supremely and everything else that they can think of for the position they are in today. they will never get respect behaving this way.

Gullible democrats think men can get pregnant.

Another black on Asian crime. I thought white supremacists were the real threat.
