Man Punches Hispanic Woman in Face on 7-Train in Apparent Bias Attack in LIC

Suspect wanted for an alleged bias attack on a 7-train last month (Photo NYPD)

Aug. 15, 2022 By Christian Murray

The police released a photo Saturday of a man who allegedly punched a 42-year-old Hispanic woman in the face—in an apparent bias attack–on a Manhattan-bound 7 train last month.

The suspect allegedly approached the woman on the 7 train at around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday July 2 as it approached the Court Square–23rd Street station.

Without provocation, the man allegedly made anti-Hispanic remarks and then proceeded to punch the woman in the face.

The suspect exited the train at the Hunters Point train station, according to police. The woman sustained minor injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Boomers doing the "Amish" thing in 2022 ?

According to FBI stats, 81% of white victims of violent crime were attacked by another white person. Ask your grandson to explain.

Maybe if you knew the facts you wouldn’t look like such an idiot?

Texas HoldEm!

Here’s an idea,
Why not put all these thugs
On the empty bus before it returns to
Texas. I mean you don’t mess with Texas
So I’m sure these criminals would b well
Taken care off. After all, the very progressive city council and state lawmakers
Are next to useless when it concerns crime and have us all living in fear wondering if we will be the next victim.

As a young woman there is a rise in cat calling, verbal harassment and derogatory comments from mostly white men in Western Queens. Its a growing problem but i am lucky not to have been physically attacked. I live in fear.

"A rise?"

Where have you been? There’s always been catcalling and verbal sexual harassment! And guess what… White men have been and continue to be the MINORITY!

Had a 73 year old Hispanic man following my 30 year old ass, making kissy faces and yanking at his manpart.

Any comment from Won? She ran a campaign promising to help stop racists attacks against East Asians. What about Hispanics? No march?

Punching women in the face, sucker punching elderly folk, punching 6 year olds to steal their scooters…. So is this another case of systemic racism ? Was he triggered by her speaking Spanish? Or is it just their culture? And this is not indicative of all black people. This is indicative of ghetto folk. White apologists, feel free to retort. And please don’t argue mental illness. With so much bias attacks now a days it’s a scapegoat for hate and ignorance. And let’s not forget the same ol’ Jan. 6 argument, where the perps were white. Last time I checked most, if not all were prosecuted. Most had clean records. Can you say the same for this individual and the countless perps committing violent crimes?

AOC for president 2024

It is cause by systematical racism against blacks, whites, and Hispanics, Asians… every race. White ppl created, and got benefits out of this system in history, but they didn’t realize that system they built hurt them too. Systematical racism produced people with nothing to lose, when people have nothing to lose, they don’t care for anything, they just destroy whatever they can.

Sauce for the goose

OMG another African American committing racist crimes and not a beep out of the community organizations. Heaven forbid a white person lays a finger on one of them and they pull the place apart. No wonder nobody takes their cries seriously

The bail reform bill makes it impossible for district attorneys to place violent people with mental health problems where they need to be ( Jim Magee explained this problem in detail ) The bill clearly needs to be tweaked. My heart goes out to the woman assaulted.

Quite honestly i blame oppression and systematic racism. Unfortunately the oppressed sometimes becomes the oppressor in.

I hope this is a plant from one of the right wingers here. If it’s not, then this is sad. White apologists and their silly comments. If this country is so oppressive, why not leave? If a Mexican can walk thousands of miles to leave an “oppressed nation” why can’t he and all those oppressed and yourself leave?

It's not racism

When you insist on emulating the racist stereotypes you say you hate.

Proving the saying: it’s not racist if it’s true.

STOP MAKING IT TRUE!!

This is terrible. There is so much hate in this city now that the latino population is growing each year in Queens and with the asylum seekers in NYC. End racism and hate against Latinos!!! We have every right to be here.

Juanita… what do you say to the thousands who apply for immigration the right way? No one is giving them a free phone, a luxury hotel stay, nor given free transportation to the area of their choosing? Follow the laws and learn to assimilate, a lot of people are against illegal immigration because it’s a financial strain to the economy, we do not know what type of people are coming (he could be your dear tio, but he could be a drug dealer or criminal) and it’s not fair for people who do it the legal way.

The vast majority of hate crimes in NYS are committed by white people

Rolik Walker sentenced for using Twitter to post that he and his “associates” were targeting several grocery stores in the Buffalo area and were “only looking to kill blacks” just two days after the racially motivated shooting at the Tops grocery store

Robert Fehring sentenced for mailed more than 60 letters to LGBTQ+ affiliated individuals, organizations and businesses, many of which contained threats to kill, shoot, and bomb the recipients.

Payton Gendron alleged to have opened fire with a Bushmaster XM rifle and shot multiple individuals in and around the Tops grocery store, which resulted in the deaths of 10 Black people, as well as injury to three others

Christopher Rascoll sentenced for sending the victim a message that included the words “Suns about to go down. It would be a shame if your house were used to light the menorah. Or turned in a gas chamber.” on the first day of Hannukah

…that’s just this summer! WOW you’re out of the loop

You must live in an all white area.

I see crimes committed all over the city by almost anything BUT white people.

Maybe read any statistics?

Thanks for not refuting a single example. How could you?

“I saw” mostly white people attacking the police on Jan 6. Should we conclude that certain people are more likely to commit crime because of what I saw?
