The police released a photo Saturday of a man who allegedly punched a 42-year-old Hispanic woman in the face—in an apparent bias attack–on a Manhattan-bound 7 train last month.
The suspect allegedly approached the woman on the 7 train at around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday July 2 as it approached the Court Square–23rd Street station.
Without provocation, the man allegedly made anti-Hispanic remarks and then proceeded to punch the woman in the face.
The suspect exited the train at the Hunters Point train station, according to police. The woman sustained minor injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.

As a young woman there is a rise in cat calling, verbal harassment and derogatory comments from mostly white men in Western Queens. Its a growing problem but i am lucky not to have been physically attacked. I live in fear.

It is cause by systematical racism against blacks, whites, and Hispanics, Asians… every race. White ppl created, and got benefits out of this system in history, but they didn’t realize that system they built hurt them too. The bail reform bill makes it impossible for district attorneys to place violent people with mental health problems where they need to be ( Jim Magee explained this problem in detail ) The bill clearly needs to be tweaked. My heart goes out to the woman assaulted.

No one is giving them a free phone, a luxury hotel stay, nor given free transportation to the area of their choosing? Follow the laws and learn to assimilate, a lot of people are against illegal immigration because it’s a financial strain to the economy, we do not know what type of people are coming (he could be your dear tio, but he could be a drug dealer or criminal) and it’s not fair for people who do it the legal way.
