Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly burglarized a home in Woodside earlier this month and made off with more than $10,000 worth of valuables.

The suspects – a man and a woman – broke into a residence in the vicinity of 53rd Place and Broadway on July 17 at around 2 p.m. by pushing up a rear window to gain entry, according to police.

Once inside, the alleged thieves stole jewelry, electronics, a cellphone, a wallet and a number of handbags.

The total value of the haul was around $10,250, police said. There was no cash taken.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction with their ill-gotten gains, police said.

Police on Tuesday released images of the suspects wanted for questioning. They are both described as having light skin and are aged in their mid-30s.

These crimes are rarely solved; but since they have their photos, there is a chance.

And don’t forget $200 million Increase

Lou- Yes, taking crossing guards away from the police budget caused this.
The NYPD’s budget has been reduced by nearly $1 billion while maintaining patrol strength and safety through a combination of savings and shifting responsibilities to other agencies, including:

Uniform and civilian overtime reduction- $352.2 million
Move School Safety Agents from NYPD to DOE – $307.5 million
Cancel July Police Academy class – $55 million
Move School Crossing Guards from NYPD – $42.4 million
Increased revenue from moving 165 TEAs to enforcement – $42 million
Reduce contract and other non-personnel expenses – $12 million
TEA vacancy reduction – $5.4 million
Delay delivery of fleet vehicles – $5 million
Hiring freeze on non-safety positions – $5 million
Move Homeless Engagement Unit from NYPD – $4.5 million
Cancel NYPD FY21 cadet class – $4.2 million

Again. With these privileged people and their way of thinking. Ever been robbed? Burglarized? 10 thousand dollars worth of valuables stolen is simple to you? Cant stand all these Karens and Kens that do not speak up for working class folks being burglarized and robbed in this city. Its people like you that are part of the problem. You talk about crime in generally until the rise in crime is decreased. Call for action.

@Geez- Do you really expect politicians to publicly comment on every crime? Is that even physically possible? That is an incredibly naive view of government. This has never been the way things worked and if such a naive policy was ever implemented absolutely nothing would get done.

I live on the first floor and i do not have any window guards. Windows close but two are old and do not lock. Landlord refuses to change them. There should be a law requiring landlords to install windows that lock and install window guards on the first floor. Its too hot to sleep with windows closed. In Brooklyn a bishop was robbed at gunpoint in the middle of church service!!

I’m very suspicious about the pastor who got robbed of millions of dollars in jewelry in his church. How did he afford all of that – rolex watch? He’s a scam artist and I think he planned the robbery for insurance reasons. Look up his record. He’s no saint. I think the house robbery was done by somebody famiiar with the tenant. How else would they know what was there?

Don’t know much about the bishop but it so sad that someone would walk into a house of worship to rob at gunpoint.

No surprise at all. This as everyone knows is an every day affair in NYC. How about ending the no bail reform and simply keep the criminals in jail for a while instead of making the courts and jails a revolving door for the criminals?

That was easy...

Memo to city dwellers: your windows have locks for a reason.

It’s a good thing they were just thieves and not rapists and serial killers.
