A Pennsylvania man was busted last Friday for raping a 15-year-old girl at a Queens hotel—just two days after he was charged for sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl and let loose, authorities said.
Lawrence Winslow, 27, was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl inside the JFK Inn in Jamaica. The arrest came about 48 hours after he was charged for keeping a 14-year-old girl against her will– and demanding sex–at a hotel in Long Island City.
Winslow was charged with sex trafficking, child sex trafficking, raping a minor and promoting prostitution in regards to the JFK incident that took place sometime between Feb. 17 and Feb. 19, police said. According to the charges, he plied the teenager with drugs and alcohol prior to raping her.
He has been remanded in custody and is awaiting arraignment, police said.
The arrest comes just two days after he was let go following a sexual attack on a 14-year-old girl.
Winslow allegedly met up with the 14-year-old victim at La Quinta Inn, located at 37-18 Queens Blvd., at around 7 p.m. on Feb. 16 and kept her there against her will overnight, police said.
Winslow allegedly held her down inside a hotel room and took pictures of her naked body, police said.
He then asked the girl for sex but she refused and he would not let her leave the hotel room. Another person was also in the room and had removed the girl’s clothing, police said.
The girl was able to flee the hotel at around 11:50 a.m., police said.
Winslow was arrested about an hour later and charged with unlawful surveillance-sexual arousal, acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, and unlawful imprisonment, according to cops. He was then let go.

There are too many children that have to walk by the property on the way to school. It should be shut down. This property is constantly in the news. Whatever policy is in place, is not working. Representatives need to be held accountable.

Another one let go initially without bail! Good work, Cuomo and state and city legislators – really “protecting the kids.” Sex trafficking is a very serious and demoralizing crime that affects the victims even after they have been rescued. Unfortunately, we have elected officials who are oblivious to the pain of the victims.
You’re not supposed to sit in jail until you’re convicted. Justice is supposed to be blind, to treat rich and poor alike. Bail isn’t suppose to be “just out of reach”, it’s suppose to guarantee your appearance to face the charges.

A big part of bail reform come to be because the previous system allowed folks with money to post bail but if you couldn’t afford it you went to jail. The system badly needed to be reformed and it has, in many ways, seen improvement.
This guy getting out after the first time he messed with the underaged girl isn’t a result of bail reform; people are just using this to score political points.

No, this is due to the cash bail reform policies the “bad orange man” was against. Biden’s in favor of the policies that let this rapist go. This is disgusting. Bail reform has failed this young woman. Our politicians and judges have failed to protect the people. This young woman will carry those scares for a long time.
Why was he let go in the first place? He should have never been released from custody after the first crime. The architects of bail reform need to resign in shame. They allowed this to happen by taking a soft on crime stance. There is no such thing as restorative justice for sick individuals like him.
