Teenager Punched and Stabbed in Woodside Robbery: NYPD

Suspects wanted for an attack of a teenager in Woodside. The man on the left with the glasses is the suspect believed to have stabbed the victim (NYPD)

Aug. 5, 2020 By Christian Murray

A teenager was stabbed and beaten in Woodside last month by a group of seven men.

The victim, 19, had arranged to sell his Yeezy sneakers via Snapchat and was set upon by the suspects at the meeting place where the deal was supposed to be done.

The young man was standing in front of 48-06 46th St. at around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 when the group of men arrived and punched and kicked him—with one of the suspects stabbing the teenager in the back.

The suspects took $200 in cash and the Nike Raptors that were on the victim’s feet. The victim was not in possession of the Yeezy sneakers at the time of the attack.

The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The police have released video and photos of five of the seven suspects and are seeking help in identifying them. The suspect who allegedly stabbed the victim was believed to be wearing a hood, mask and eyeglasses (far left in photo).

The 19-year-old was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital and was listed in stable condition at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)

They do nothing. They fix nothing. They are more anti social than the people they’re treating.

People are struggling to get by. People are going to bed hungry and have no money to pay bills. I agreed to meet someone to sell my guitar at 11pm last week in public. I am thankful everything went smoothly. Do not blame the victim. With outside dining and streets closed to cars in the middle of summer many people are out at night. Its also better to meet people in public.

So he was going to sell sneakers he didn't have on him to sell/exchange for money?

And he had a lot of money on him???

This story is very bizarre. And it makes no sense.

Same punks

These are the same punks who robbed that kid in front of Burger King on queens Blvd. I’ve seen them around the neighborhood. Come on 108! Do your job!

Why?

Since people still will do stupid things in this urban environment! Why should the police hold anyone’s hand??? People need to be held accountable for their idiotic actions.

Why because these are criminals, let me know if you will call the police next time they break your window or beat your kid who is walking home late from work…

My neighbors son also tried to sell sneakers using a site and a man showed up and took the sneakers away from him and went back in his car. Be careful what your children are using. They went to the precinct and the cops did not want to file a report even though they had the suspects number. They gave them such a hard time telling them to contact the site that he was selling the sneakers on to see if he could file a complaint. My neighbor and his son were so disappointed. Luckily his son was not hurt.

The police try to discourage reporting these types of crimes to rig their Compstat numbers. While there is no denying that crime has come down tremendously over the last twenty years, those numbers don’t always tell the whole story. The 108 is notorious for discouraging the reporting of all kinds of crime. If you are the victim, the fact that crime may be down 25% from the 90’s doesn’t mean much.

Who is the boss of police if they don’t show up or don’t do their job, who do you complain to?
Report EVERY CRIME no matter how small it is.

We are a city of immigrants. Many people do not know where or whom to turn to when dealing with a police matter in which they do not want to document. Many people respect the police and take their word for things because they do not know better.

Chef- There was no crime before this incident. Most of us aren’t as gullible as you and know better. We don’t come from that same little “safe” world you were obviously raised in.

Interesting.

Since chef has a point. All the dumblazzio voters essentially voted for this BS.

Sarcasm has no place on the internet where you can’t READ THE PERSON’S FACIAL EXPRESSIONS!!!

Not so interesting

Interesting- So there w is no sarcasm in print? Sarcasm is used to mock. Facial expression not necessary.

Truth Hurts

Just because the NYPD is mad that we all know they piss away $6 billion in overtime while playing Candy Crush in their cars doesn’t mean we want crime to increase. This just shows everyone that they still can’t do their jobs even with six figure salaries.

Burglary crew sought for targeting drugstores in five different Queens precincts: NYPD

Police from five Queens precincts are looking for a pair of burglars who targeted independent mom-and-pop drugstores from Fresh Meadows to Astoria throughout December.

The two men allegedly broke into three drugstores in three different neighborhoods in a half-hour during the morning of Sunday, Dec. 15. While one stood guard outside a drugstore at 63-09 39th Avenue in Woodside, his partner broke through the glass front door at 5:50 a.m. Police from the 108th Precinct reported that he removed $400 in cash before leaving.
