Badrun Khan, a Sunnyside resident and a member of Queens Community Board 2, is running in the Democratic primary for the 14th Congressional District of New York.
She faces incumbent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and former CNBC reporter Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.
We speak to Khan about her campaign to unseat Ocasio-Cortez and why she believes voters in the district would be better served by her.
The 14th Congressional District includes the neighborhoods of Astoria, College Point, Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Sunnyside and Woodside. It also covers neighborhoods in the south east portion of The Bronx.

Always judge people by how they treat people who are serving them. I ran across her while picking up my prescription at CVS on 41st Street. She was rude and mean to the cashier. If you’re this nasty to a worker then I don’t trust you to look out for the working class.
If she loses, she can just say she had a bad run.
She will take votes from Michelle and they both will lose to AOC. Michelle has the best chance

She sure didn’t count on all those absentee ballots being cast.
Kahn won’t get many votes, but may cut into AOCs portion.
