An annual event celebrating the best of Sunnyside’s restaurants and wide array of international cuisine kicks off October 22nd.
Sunnyside Restaurant Week begins Tuesday, Oct. 22 and will go through Oct. 28, offering multi-course lunches and dinners from 46 restaurants—the largest count yet.
Each participating restaurant will serve a three-course dinner menu for $25 with many offering additional lunch specials and a few even offering the $25 dinner menu for two people.
Cuisines represented in restaurant week include Italian, Japanese, Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Indian, Turkish, Mexican, Irish, Colombian, Tibetan, French and more.
Most of the restaurants are located along Queens Boulevard or on side streets, with many also on Skillman Avenue and Greenpoint Avenue.
Participating restaurants include Philomena’s Pizza, Sole Luna, Punda Tibetan, I Love Paraguay, La Flor, de Mole, Takesushi, Bajeko Sekuwa, Woodside Cafe and more.
All customers who partake in restaurant week will be able to enter into a raffle to win a dinner for four–valued at $250– to one of the 46 restaurants of their choosing.
This year Sunnyside Shines is also partnering with the St. Pat’s for All Parade, now in its 20th year, to exhibit photographs from the Parade’s history at some of the participating restaurants.
The parade was New York City’s first LGBTQ inclusive St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Photographs will be available for sale with proceeds benefiting the parade’s oral history project documenting the lives and experiences of LGBTQ members of the Sunnyside and Woodside communities.
