Bicycle-Riding Groper Wanted for Grabbing Women’s Buttocks in Sunnyside: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who has grabbed several women’s buttocks in Sunnyside and Woodside over the past two months.

There have been at least four reported incidents where a man has sexually assaulted women between July 24 and Sept. 14, according to the police.

The first incident took place on Wednesday, July 24 at around 8 a.m. in the vicinity of 36th Street and 47th Avenue. A man approached a 40-year-old woman and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing the scene on a bicycle in an unknown direction.

A similar incident took place two weeks later at about 3:20 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5 in the vicinity of 47th Street and 47th Avenue. This time, the suspect grabbed a 22-year-old woman’s buttocks and again fled the scene on a bicycle.

Police say that a similar incident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at about 7:40 a.m. near 42nd Street and 47th Avenue. The man sexually assaulted a 39-year-old woman and again used a bike to make his getaway.

The most recent incident occurred over the weekend on Saturday, Sept. 14 at about 2 a.m. at 47th Street and 50th Avenue. Again, the man grabbed a woman’s buttocks and made his escape on a bike. The most recent victim was a 20-year-old woman.

Police describe the suspect as a black man between 20 and 30 years of age. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
