Police are looking for a man who allegedly fled the 7 train in Woodside after forcibly touching a 16-year-old girl’s crotch—but not before getting his picture snapped.
On June 27 just before 5 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was riding the 7 train through 61st Street station when the man “touched her private area with his hands,” police said.
The girl confronted him and he fled in an unknown direction. However, she was able to take a picture of him before he disappeared.

Until MTA puts cameras on trains, it’s all he said she said and unless the guy has priors and they can identify him from a mugshot, it’s just waste of police resources. We have to prevent these in the first place.

Many of these stories make it seem like no one else is around. I hope that were someone to see abuse like this that he or she or they would speak up and defend the victim. It’s my guess that the victim is in shock and scared and doesn’t know how to react so is silent and that it is a clandestined attack so fellow riders don’t see it. If so, if you know this creep, turn him in.

Well, if w person is loony enough to do that they might be loony enough to do something worse especially when caught. You don’t know if he has a gun or a knife!
The MTA workers have this: if you assault an MTA employee you will get 7years in jail” (don’t get me wrong, it’s deserved). The general public have no such allegiance. We have no one backing us up right then and there.
