Sunnyside Resident Opens Consumer Electronics and Repair Store on Skillman Avenue

Master Electronics Repair, located at 48-15 Skillman Ave., opened last week (Queens Post)

July 8, 2019 Staff Report

An electronics repair and accessories shop opened on Skillman Avenue last week.

Master Electronics Repair, located at 48-15 Skillman Ave., is owned and operated by a Sunnyside resident and offers services such as cellphone repairs to fixing computers infected with viruses.

Tarek Hajji, who has lived in Sunnyside with his wife for the past four years, took over the space from an Allstate Insurance brokerage firm, which moved around the corner.

Hajji decided to open his own brick-and-mortar business after doing computer repair work as a contractor around the country for several years. He said the insight and knowledge he gained about the industry encouraged him to open the shop.

“After maybe six years of traveling around the country for this kind of work, I finally decided to go to school and become certified in computer hardware repair and as a mobile repair technician,” Hajji said. “That is when I decided to just finally open my own store in the neighborhood.”

The shop repairs damaged cellphones, cracked-screens, and fixes damaged laptops, desktops and tablets. It also repairs systems infected with malware, spyware and viruses. The store also offers on-site faxing and printing services.

Additionally, the store is stocked with an assortment of electronic accessories, including phone cases, chargers, external batteries, wireless speakers and other gizmos.

Hajji said his store provides free pickup and delivery for all items or services sold in Sunnyside, Woodside, Astoria, Long Island City and Maspeth.

Master Electronics Repair is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Readers are encouraged to call 917-745-1144 for quotes and inquiries.
